Getting there

PAMM sits on Biscayne Bay at 1103 Biscayne Boulevard, between the Adrienne Arsht Center and the Kaseya Center (formerly the Miami-Dade Arena). The simplest accessible route from a downtown hotel is on foot or by wheelchair along the Bayfront Park promenade; the museum is two blocks from the Museum Park Metromover station, which is accessible per Miami-Dade Transit policy.

If driving, the museum garage takes vehicles with a clearance of 8 feet 2 inches bearing valid DMV handicapped parking stickers or license plates. Park there to use the internal elevator into the museum lobby. Larger accessible vans (above the clearance) should drop off at the Biscayne Boulevard entrance instead.

At the entrance and ticket desk

Use the ADA accessible doorway located to the right of the main lobby doors. The group entrance is also to the right of the main entrance and offers an assist system if you need a hand. Inside the lobby, head to the visitor services desk to claim your complimentary admission and pick up a wheelchair if you want one; the loan is free for the duration of the visit.

If you are a disabled visitor traveling with a paid personal care attendant, declare the PCA at the desk and they will not be charged. Standard adult admission is $18, with reduced fares for seniors 62+, students and youth 7-18 at $14. Thursdays after 17:00 are free for all visitors.

Inside the galleries

Elevators reach every public floor. The permanent collection lives on the lower gallery level; the major rotating exhibitions and the contemporary commissions occupy the upper level. The Verde restaurant and the bayfront terrace are at lobby level. Strollers and wheelchairs share the same step-free routes, so circulation rarely backs up.

Audio tours and touch tours are offered through the education department by request. PAMM is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays; open Monday 11:00-18:00, Thursday 11:00-23:00, and Friday-Sunday 11:00-18:00.

Tips for visiting

Pair PAMM with Frost Science across the same Museum Park plaza for a step-free day downtown. The Bayfront Park promenade between PAMM and the Adrienne Arsht Center is shaded and paved, with benches at intervals. Stop at the visitor services desk first for the wheelchair loan; loan stock is limited on free Thursday evenings.
