Disability discounts in Prague

What you pay at Prague's headline venues with a ZTP, ZTP-P, or recognised foreign disability ID, plus the documentation that works at the door.

The most useful Prague disability discount is free admission at the National Museum and Old Town Hall for ZTP-P holders plus one companion. The Jewish Museum charges 100 CZK for ZTP and ZTP-P with one companion free. Prague Castle offers a reduced 300 CZK rate. Most venues accept foreign disability ID with a doctor's letter.

How to claim the discount at the door

Present the card at the ticket window. Czech ZTP and ZTP-P holders show the card directly. Foreign visitors should bring the European Disability Card if they have one, plus their home-country disability ID, plus a recent doctor's letter on letterhead in English (a Czech translation helps but is not required at the major museums).

The strict published rule at most venues reads ZTP only. In practice the National Museum, the Old Town Hall, the Jewish Museum, and the National Theatre apply the discount to foreign equivalents on letterhead documentation. Prague Castle's reduced ticket is documented as a flat 300 CZK and applies to any verified disability status.

Prague transit (separate scheme)

Public transport works on a separate rule. Czech ZTP and ZTP-P cardholders ride Prague Integrated Transport (PID) free; the ZTP-P companion and a guide dog also travel free. Foreign visitors do not qualify for the free fare and pay the standard 39 CZK 30-minute or 50 CZK 90-minute single ticket. This is the one disability-discount surface in Prague where foreign documentation does not substitute for the Czech card.
