One World Observatory is at the top of One World Trade Center at 117 West Street, in the Financial District of lower Manhattan. The closest accessible subway stations are World Trade Center Cortlandt (1 train) and Cortlandt Street (R, W), both have elevators to the platform, plus Fulton Center (2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, J, Z), a step-free walk across the WTC Oculus.

The PATH train from New Jersey terminates at the WTC Oculus, which is fully step-free. Accessible-vehicle dispatch can drop at the West Plaza accessible pickup and drop-off on West Street, north of Vesey Street.

Entrances and lobby

From outside, the West Plaza Entrance is the recommended accessible entrance on West Street. From the WTC Oculus, the dedicated observatory entrance is signposted and step-free.

The ground-floor lobby is one level with the security screening and the welcome desk. Security screening is airport-style and includes a wheelchair-accessible lane. After security, you board the Skypod elevator for the 60-second ride to the top.

On the observation deck

The Skypod elevators arrive at the 102nd floor for the introductory See Forever short film, then you continue down to the main 100th, 101st and 102nd floor viewing levels. All three levels are step-free with wraparound floor-to-ceiling glass on every side. The 100th-floor main deck is the widest, with seating and the accessible restrooms.

The One Café and One Mix bar on the 101st floor are step-free with accessible tables. The 102nd-floor lounge has more flexible furniture but the deck remains wheelchair-accessible. Staff are happy to assist with access throughout the venue.

Tips for visiting

Sunset slots sell out fastest; book in advance. Daytime visits are quieter and the Skypod queue is shorter. Cloud cover can close the upper decks unexpectedly, the observatory posts visibility updates each morning.

Service dogs are welcome. Staff assist with access throughout the attraction but are not permitted to lift guests in or out of an assistance device. Bring your own transfer support if you need to leave the chair.
