A visiting wheelchair user in Miami books a licensed wheelchair-accessible taxi by phone, or pre-books a private WAV van. Super Yellow Cab answers on 305-888-7777. At Miami International Airport, ask the arrivals taxi stand for a wheelchair-accessible cab.
Licensed WAV taxis run the county meter. Private vans publish their own quote before you pay.

How to book
Call Super Yellow Cab on 305-888-7777 or Yellow Cab on 305-444-4444 and ask for a wheelchair accessible taxicab. Greater Miami tourism says those cabs are limited, so reserve early rather than waiting at a hotel rank. Neither company publishes an email or a live booking site.
The county meter is $2.95 for the first 1/6 mile, then $0.85 for each extra 1/6 mile until 1 mile, then $0.55 for each 1/6 mile after that. Wait time is $0.40 per minute ($24 per hour). There is no extra charge for wheelchair transportation. The 30 percent van surcharge does not apply to a wheelchair accessible taxi carrying a wheelchair user.
All flat taxi fares are eliminated. The meter now applies to every Miami-Dade taxicab trip, including airport work. For a private van, call or email the operator and pay only after they confirm the fare.

Airport transfer
At Miami International Airport, taxicabs stand on the arrivals (ground) level outside baggage claim. Wheelchair accessible taxis are available upon request. Reservations are not required for taxicab service originating from MIA. MIA's February 2026 ADA FAQ also lists accessible SuperShuttle vans at the same curbside.
Trips that start at MIA have a $15 minimum fare and a $2.00 airport origination fee, on top of the county meter. The 30 percent larger-vehicle surcharge does not apply to a wheelchair accessible taxi serving a wheelchair user. Ignore solicitors inside the terminal and use the marked taxi stand.
Residents-only
Special Transportation Service (STS) is Miami-Dade complementary paratransit, not a tourist taxi. ADA eligible visitors may use it for 21 days in a 365-day period after certification. Reservations are 305-871-1111. Same-day hotel or airport bookings should use a licensed WAV taxi or a private van above.
