Oceanogràfic wheelchair accessibility

L'Oceanogràfic sits at the south end of the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias complex on the eastern side of Valencia. The complex stretches along the bed of the former Turia river, now a long green park that bends across the city.

Metrovalencia and EMT bus routes both serve the area. The walk from the nearest stops runs east through the open Turia park to the aquarium's main entrance, on flat paved paths.

The main entrance is the Edificio de Accesos. This is where you collect tickets, where the wheelchair loan is handled, and where audio guides are picked up.

Every public exhibit building at the aquarium is accessible by ramps or lifts. The route between exhibits is continuous, so you do not need to plan around a stairs-only section.

Manual wheelchairs are loaned at the Edificio de Accesos info point against a 10€ refundable deposit. Bring photo ID; the loan is per-visitor and intended for use inside the aquarium.

We could not confirm the number or location of accessible toilets from official public sources. The aquarium is large; ask at the Edificio de Accesos information point for a current map when you arrive.

Holders of the Spanish Certificado de Discapacidad at the 33% diversidad funcional threshold qualify for the aquarium's discounted ticket tier. Bring the original certificate to the ticket window.

The companion-ticket policy is not stated on the public FAQ. Ask at the ticket window with your documentation; the policy at sister venues in the Ciudad de las Artes complex follows similar rules.

Only certified assistance or service dogs with proper credentials are permitted inside L'Oceanogràfic. Carry the certificate; staff may ask to see it at the entrance.
