A visiting wheelchair user books a private ramp van in Prague by phone or email. Call Helpdriver on +420 720 297 731, POHODA Transport on +420 774 888 085, or Accessible Prague on +420 608 531 753, and pre-book the van before you travel.

Helpdriver and POHODA are contract hire, not metered taxis. Accessible Prague sells a fixed-rate adapted-van transfer. You stay in the wheelchair on the ramp vans.

How to book

Book Helpdriver on +420 720 297 731 or [email protected]. Book POHODA Transport on +420 774 888 085 or [email protected], Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:00. Book Accessible Prague on +420 608 531 753; that site does not publish an email.

Name your wheelchair type, pickup, and destination. Helpdriver replies to email within 24 hours, at most two working days. Accessible Prague asks you to book the adapted van with your other travel plans so the lift vehicle is held.

Helpdriver does not ask for a Czech ZTP or ZTP/P card. POHODA and Accessible Prague sell private trips to visitors. The city Bezba scheme is a different product and is not for tourists.

Helpdriver

Helpdriver is Martin Břoušek's Opel Movano with an electrohydraulic platform and wheelchair tie-downs. It is contract hire, not a taxi, and has no meter. One trip carries at most two people seated in wheelchairs, plus up to four walking passengers.

The published one-off fare is 25 Kč per km for the whole van and a 50 Kč boarding fee per person. The first 15 minutes of waiting are free, then 4 Kč per minute. Trips from 20:00 to 05:00 inclusive add 20 percent.

Call +420 720 297 731 or email [email protected]. The site is https://www.helpdriver.cz/cz/. Airport transfers are listed. Change a booking by 14:00 on the working day before the trip.

POHODA Transport

POHODA Transport is based in Hostivice, just west of Prague. The firm says it is not a taxi. The wheelchair vehicle is a transit van with an automatic lift platform for a passenger in a wheelchair or lying down. They also run cars with a sliding seat.

Dispatch answers +420 774 888 085 and [email protected] Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:00. The site is https://www.pohodatransport.cz/. They pick up at hotels as well as homes and clinics.

No public koruna table is on the site. Published rule: fares stay below standard taxi prices, and you get an own quote for the trip. Ask for the van with the lift, not a sedan seat transfer, if you stay in the chair.

Accessible Prague

Accessible Prague is a travel agency that books Volkswagen Transporter and Crafter vans adapted for wheelchair users. The vans use Recon electric lifts. You stay in the wheelchair, strapped in, if you cannot transfer to a seat.

Published airport prices to the centre: standard car 950 CZK, standard van 1150 CZK, adapted van 1800 CZK. Pay in advance. Call +420 608 531 753 to book. The site is https://www.accessibleprague.com/. Email is not published.

The Transporter holds two wheelchairs, or one wheelchair plus three seated passengers. The Crafter holds up to six wheelchairs. Book the adapted van with your hotel and flight details so the lift vehicle is reserved.

Airport transfer

Helpdriver lists an airport transfer on the same 25 Kč per km one-off tariff, with the 20 percent night add-on from 20:00 to 05:00. Email [email protected] or call +420 720 297 731 with your flight number.

Accessible Prague publishes 1800 CZK for an adapted van from Václav Havel Airport to the centre. The driver meets you in arrivals. Call +420 608 531 753 before you fly. POHODA will quote a hotel pickup if you reach dispatch on a weekday.

Residents only

Bezba doprava is the Prague / Central Bohemia subsidised van. It is for holders of a Czech ZTP or ZTP/P card with permanent residence in Prague or the Central Bohemian Region, and only after registration. Visitors are not eligible. Book Helpdriver, POHODA, or Accessible Prague instead.
