Hilton Hotels Wheelchair Accessibility

Hilton Hotels Wheelchair Accessibility

1 min read

We have contacted more than 10 thousand hotels in Europe across 12 countries, one chain that stood out is the Hilton hotels.

Hilton hotels are not only accessible most of the time, they list the accessible room online, available for booking directly. No emails. No phone calls. No uncertainty about photos.

I personally like a lot this warning where they tell you this is a special room, "If you need these features or there are no other rooms available, please proceed. Otherwise, select a different room."

For me this is the best experience of finding and booking wheelchair accessible rooms. The biggest downsides are:

  1. There aren't that many accessible two beds rooms. Most of the times it is one big bed.

  2. Price: Hilton hotels are on the pricier side. Not a valid option when you are on a tight budget. You can get some discounts through the loyalty program but still on average it is more expensive.

I wish all hotels had a similar booking experience for wheelchair accessible rooms. Hilton sets the example.
