Disney's Hollywood Studios wheelchair accessibility

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land are step-free with accessible queues. Disney's DAS virtual queue is the access program. Skyliner connects directly to the park entrance from Caribbean Beach.

Disney's Hollywood Studios is step-free across its main lands: Hollywood Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land, Pixar Place and the Animation Courtyard. The Disney Skyliner terminus is at the park entrance, so guests staying at Caribbean Beach, Riviera, Pop Century or Art of Animation can reach the park without changing transport.

Accessibility at a glance

Accessibility details
WhatDetailsStatus
Step-free entrance
Hollywood Boulevard runs straight from the park entrance under the entry archway; the route is paved and level. Accessible security screening is held in a dedicated lane to one side of the main bag-check tents. The Skyliner station is at the front of the park, with a step-free ramp to the entrance plaza.
Partially confirmed
Vertical access
The park is largely single-level. The exceptions are The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (an elevator ride with a transfer-to-ride-vehicle option), Star Tours (a motion simulator with cabin-by-cabin transfer), and the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction (multi-stage with transfer points; ask the Cast Member for the accessible boarding route).
Partially confirmed
Accessible toilets
Every restroom block has wheelchair-accessible stalls. Companion (universal) restrooms are signposted on Hollywood Boulevard near the entrance, at Toy Story Land near Slinky Dog Dash, in Galaxy's Edge between Black Spire Outpost and the Millennium Falcon hangar, and at Sunset Boulevard near the Tower of Terror.
Partially confirmed
Companion entry
Disney does not discount admission for disabled visitors or companions. DAS is the access program, replacing standby queues with a return-time virtual queue for guests with developmental disabilities. DAS covers the registered guest plus up to five additional party members on the same return time.

Getting there

From central Orlando, drive to the Hollywood Studios lot off Studio Catwalk; accessible parking is in the front rows with a valid placard. The parking-lot tram is not wheelchair-accessible; plan to roll or take a courtesy ride.

The Disney Skyliner reaches Hollywood Studios from Caribbean Beach, Riviera, Pop Century and Art of Animation; cabins are wheelchair-accessible. Disney resort buses are ramp-equipped and stop at the Hollywood Studios bus loop. The Friendship Boat from Disney's BoardWalk and the EPCOT-side resorts is wheelchair-accessible at low water but the gangway becomes steep at high tide; ramps are deployed by Cast Members on request.

Inside the park

Pre-register for Disability Access Service via live video chat up to sixty days before the visit and again on the visit day. DAS provides a return time for rides with waits over 25 minutes and is good for up to six people per pre-registration. Once enrolled, the My Disney Experience app handles booking; the wait is virtual.

Wheelchair and ECV rentals are sold at Oscar's Super Service just inside the entrance. Quantities are limited on busy days. Most attractions have a wheelchair-accessible queue or a transfer-to-ride-vehicle option; the Cast Member at the load zone will direct you to the appropriate boarding route.

Guest Relations on Hollywood Boulevard issues handheld audio-description and assistive-listening devices, written show scripts, and reflective-captioning glasses. Most shows (Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast Live, Frozen Sing-Along) have reserved captioning seating; some have sign-language interpretation on scheduled days, posted in the My Disney Experience app.

Tips for visiting

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway are the most popular rides; book Lightning Lane Premier Pass entry in advance or use DAS return times on arrival. Galaxy's Edge can feel disorienting because the architecture is mountainous and intentionally enclosed; the central courtyard between Black Spire Outpost and Resistance Headquarters is a good orientation point.

The park is open to the Florida sun across Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards; pace your day with indoor breaks at Walt Disney Presents, the Disney Junior Play & Dance party, or the Animation Courtyard cinema. Service animals are welcome throughout; relief areas are signposted near the park entrance and at Galaxy's Edge.
