Vosmedisch is a medical-supply firm that rents a lightweight foldable aluminium wheelchair for tourists and for short-term use. Pickup and return are only at Industrieweg 45, 1115 AD Duivendrecht, next to the A10. There is no hotel delivery.

The published hire is €15 for the first day and €2.50 each day after that. You pay a €160 deposit in cash or by card at pickup. Hire days are counted per 24 hours from the moment you collect. Returns are weekday opening hours only.

Vegro's Amsterdam shop at A.J. Ernststraat 238, 1082 LT Amsterdam, rents a wheelchair for a day out or for recovery. That is shop pickup opposite Gelderlandplein, not hotel delivery.

The national hire list prices a standard wheelchair with a hard seat at €6.00 a day, and a 55 cm seat-width chair at the same €6.00 a day. A tilt chair is €14.00 a day. The FAQ also says hire starts from €4.55 a day. Confirm the model and deposit when you call 0900-2887766.

Book at least 7 working days ahead. Last-minute requests may get an extra speed rate. Delivery and collection run Monday to Friday during office hours. If you arrive on a weekend, they ask you to take delivery the day before.
