Disability discounts in Marseille

Where the disabled tariff applies, what it costs, and which document to present at the ticket desk.

In Marseille the headline discount is admission to MuCEM, free for the disabled visitor and one companion. Beyond MuCEM the picture is permanent collections at the Vieille Charité (MAM and MAAOA) are free for everyone, and so is the Musée des Beaux-Arts permanent collection at Palais Longchamp.

The table below lists every Marseille venue where the disabled tariff is published on the venue's own site. Where a venue's disabled rate is not formally published, the row is left out rather than guessed.

What to bring to the ticket desk

Bring an original disability card. The most useful in Marseille is the French Carte Mobilité Inclusion with the Invalidité mention, which is the document the local sources name for both museum admission (MuCEM, FRAC Sud) and free on-street parking. A photocopy is not accepted.

For the companion, present the card at the desk and ask. MuCEM waives the companion ticket on the spot. For paid municipal temporary exhibitions the disabled tariff is not formally published on the operator's tariff page; ask at the ticket desk on production of a justificatif rather than assuming a fixed rate.

What is not in the table

Château d'If is an island fortress reached by ferry. The operator's accessibility page is the place to confirm both the admission policy and the practical access before you plan a visit; the site is stair-only.

Cosquer Méditerranée does not publish a specific disabled price online, so its row is left out rather than guessed. RTM transit tariffs for disability-card holders are administered by the wider metropolitan authority and are best confirmed directly with the operator.
