Disability discounts in Bordeaux

Where the disabled tariff applies, what it costs, and which document to present at the ticket desk.

In Bordeaux the headline discount is admission to the four municipal museums (CAPC, Musée d'Aquitaine, Musée des Beaux-Arts and the Muséum), all free for the disabled visitor and one companion on presentation of a recognised disability card at the ticket desk.

The table below lists every Bordeaux venue where the disabled tariff is published on the venue's own site or by the Office de Tourisme. Where a venue's disabled rate is not formally published, the row is left out rather than guessed.

What to bring to the ticket desk

Bring an original disability card such as a French Carte Mobilité Inclusion (CMI), a Carte d'Invalidité, or an attestation for the French AAH, AEEH or ASI benefits. A photocopy is not accepted, and the card must be in the name of the visitor claiming the discount.

For the companion, present the card at the desk and ask. The four municipal museums waive the companion ticket on the spot. Bassins des Lumières sells a reduced-rate companion ticket at the counter. Tour Pey-Berland waives the companion ticket under a CMI but not under an AAH-only attestation: the AAH carve-out states 'NB : accompagnateur payant', so an AAH-only visitor pays for the companion.

What is not in the table

Discounts on the TBM tram and on the Bat3 river shuttle are not listed here because the disabled pricing is not published on the operator's site at the time of writing. Cathédrale Saint-André is free entry for everyone and is therefore not a 'discount' row.
